The arcade version is simply that and the team battle mode allows you or a friend to choose a team of fighters and go into battle one by one. Players are given quite a few options of gameplay styles to choose from: Arcade, Versus, Team Battle, Time Attack, Tekken Force, Practice and a hidden Beach Ball mode (a competition to see who can keep the ball from touching the sand). To help players get used to controlling the game, each fighter's move list can be accessed at any time via a pause menu. They consist of throws (for up close battle), punches and jabs, and kicks (both aerial and on the ground). Their story is represented by various intro and ending cinematic sequences.Īs in the previous Tekken titles, each character has an abundance of moves he or she can perform. At first, you have 10 fighters to choose from but as you complete the individual story/arcade modes, you will unlock that person's counterpart. Each of the 20-plus characters features a different style (Kung Fu, Capoeira), some of which must be mastered before using adequately.

Tekken 3's fighting styles range from street fighting to beautiful ancient oriental fighting styles. The trick was to pull off a conversion to fit with the console's architecture and technology, and they did just that. It is a step better than Namco's System 11 board, which is nearly identical to the PlayStation. Converted from the arcade to the PlayStation, Tekken 3 ran on the technology called the System 12 board. Five new characters have been added to the ever-expanding regular cast, and all of the special modes from the previous games have been brought back, along with the addition of a combat minigame starring Jin Kazama in his own side tale and a platforming game called “Devil Within.” The opportunity to personalize the characters by giving them different colored garments, additional costumes, and things that can be bought with money earned from the battles and then equipped is something else that is brand new to the franchise.Tekken 3 is the third installment of Namco's premier 3D fighting game franchise. Tekken 5 is a versus fighting game that is more similar to past iterations of the series as a result of reducing the odd stage design characteristics that were introduced in its immediate predecessor. When it was announced that the fifth King of the Iron Fist competition would be held, Kazuya and his son Jin decided to participate in it together in an effort to unravel the riddle. Despite this, the Mishima Zaibatsu continues to do business as usual, albeit its leaders remain a mystery. Heihachi is presumed to have been put to death, while Kazuya betrays his father and makes his escape. The attack includes military helicopters and combat cyborgs. The mysterious G Corporation conducts a full-scale attack on the building that Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima were in during the climactic sequence of the last game.
